TIBBETTS, MARION R., 86, of Largo, died Wednesday (Nov. 28, 2001) at Sun Coast Hospital, Largo. She was born in Whitman, Mass., and came here in 1976 from Bryan, Texas. She retired with the rank of major in 1974 after 24 years  in the Air Force and was a Women's Airforce Service Pilot (WASP) veteran of World War II. She was Protestant and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Order of Fifinella, the Woman's Military  Association, Pilgrim Lodge OES of Whitman, and a past officer of the Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include a brother, Francis L. Chrostowski, Largo.

Marion was in WASP class 43-6 and, upon graduation, was sent to Romulus AFB in Michigan.
