Stars & Stripes Airshow
Frederick, MD -- August 22 - 23

Stars & Stripes Wing of the Confederate Air Force based at Frederick Municipal Airport in Frederick, MD.  is  currently preparing for their annual airshow on August 22nd-23rd.

Activities begin on Friday, August 21st with a WWII Canteen Dance, held in the Frederick Aviation hangar with an orchestra, attendees in period attire, and a B-17 parked outside the hangar to lend atmosphere to the evening.  On Saturday and Sunday we conduct an active airshow (from approximately 8AM to 5PM), along with ground troop activities and an Army field hospital which conducts full surgical scenarios.  On Saturday evening a dinner is held in the Biergarten tent near the flightline.

We are hereby extending an invitation to all Women Airforce Service Pilots to attend and participate in any or all phases of the airshow.  This is an anniversary celebration, in that the City of Frederick is currently celebrating its 250th anniversary, the Confederate Air Force is in its 40th year, and this will be the Stars & Stripes Wing's 5th airshow.

For questions and more information, please contact Garrick Smith, Re-enactor Committe Chairman, at (301) 694-6909.

We look forward to hearing from you and to Women Airforce Service Pilot participation in the airshow.
